Training is offered in the development and implementation of working
methods and strategies suitable for individuals in particular jobs and
with particular disabilities. By developing more effective
working methods and practices, a person with a disability can become a
more valuable employee, as well as gaining greater personal
satisfaction from their work. Development of appropriate
strategies is the key to much of this aspect of work.
Development of appropriate working methods and strategies is achieved
through gaining a detailed understanding of the job and its associated
tasks. This, combined with a similar understanding of the
client's disability and personal attributes, can lead to creation of
new working methods and strategies. The object always is to
minimize the impact of disability and to increase the independence and
effectiveness of the disabled person.
As a result of using appropriate working methods and strategies, the
disabled person can become a much more valuable employee. In the
case of self-employment, it is possible to minimize the impact of
disability on the business as a whole.
